Kevin Novan

Kevin Novan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Davis. His research interests are in the fields of energy and environmental economics, focusing primarily on questions surrounding the design of policies targeted towards the electricity sector. Recent work quantifies the impact of renewable energy policies on pollution, examines the social costs and benefits of storing electricity, and evaluates the energy savings provided by residential energy efficiency programs. Kevin completed his Ph.D. in economics at UC San Diego in 2012. He also holds a B.A. in economics and mathematics from Western Washington University.
